The Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center is holding their 25th Annual Native Plant Sale April 23rd and 24th. You’ll find almost 200 varieties of beautiful native and adapted plants including old favorites like sages, desert willow, mountain laurel, yellowbells, and penstemons. This year, add a new favorite to your garden—the Antelope Bush, a native rose that features bright pink flowers from early spring until the first frost.
The CDRI’s 25th Annual Native Plant Sale offers a full range of beautiful plants that are adapted to this area and will add low-care color to your garden. Find plants to attract hummingbirds, butterflies, or native bees. There will be plenty of native plant experts on hand to help you select the plants best suited for your needs and garden space.
New this year for your desert garden, take home landscape size cacti—rescued by the CDRI and Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, from lands in west Texas under development. Take home some beauties: claret cup, strawberry pitaya, and large barrel cactus.
The CDRI’s 25th Annual Native Plant Sale begins with Member’s Night on Friday April 23rd from 4 to 7pm. You can become a member that night while enjoying the very best selection of plants!
On Saturday, April 24th, the CDRI’s plant sale continues from 9am to 5pm. Everyone is welcome!
