For over 35 years, the staff and friends of the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute have shared their fascination with the Chihuahuan Desert region with everyone from preschoolers to teachers. Our workshops,  field schools, and special programs for large groups are sure to offer something for everyone.

Our programs for school and youth groups help teachers reinforce science concepts and youth group leaders offer fun, interactive activities for badge requirements.

Teachers can earn their Continuing Professional Education hours with fun, interesting classes that emphasize outdoor learning and hands-on activities for their students.

You’re never too old (or young) to learn. Our Life-Long Learning Program offers workshops, lectures, and field trips for students of all ages.
