The Symposium on the Natural Resources of the Chihuahuan Desert Region

About the Symposium

Every five years, the CDRI hosts a symposium on the natural resources of the Chihuahuan Desert. The goal of the symposium is to bring together researchers, students, landmanagers, educators, and the general public to exchange ideas, provide updates on current research, and share future research and management needs.

Three concurrent sessions featuring 15-minute presentations, poster sessions, workshops, and special sessions are offered during the three days of the symposium. An informal barbeque at the CDRI’s Nature Center as well as a social the night before the meeting provide participants an opportunity to visit.

The next symposium will be held in November of 2011.

Planning efforts are underway, so keep an eye on our website for the call for papers and final details.
